For ladies with unexplained infertility

Hello ladies

As I approach my 12th week of pregnancy I thought I'd share what I did differently in hopes that it helps someone in a similar position.

I have had 7 miscarriages previously and 5 of them ended between 4 - 5 weeks. Every time it was the same pattern. I had no issue conceiving but I kept miscarrying and doctors couldn't find out what went wrong. They did not find any issues in any tests even when I was actively miscarrying. I never even made it to 6 weeks. I always suspected it was due to being on contraception pill for nearly 8 yrs but the doctors assured me there was no connection. We did so many tests including genetic testing and everything always came out normal. My husband (32) and I (30) do not have any health conditions and don't drink or smoke unless on a rare occasion when there is a social event. My hycosy showed I had no issues in my tubes or ovaries and that I had a very high egg reserve. My husband's semen analysis was also normal. Basically everything came out normal so there was no medical reason for me to repeatedly miscarry. We were told it was unexplained infertility. After my 7th miscarriage I thought of trying acupuncture not because I had a lot of hope but because I was desperate. I didn't feel going to just any acupuncturist would be right so I waited until I found a Chinese acupuncturist with years of experience and good reviews. I was told by this lady that according to Chinese medicine if my womb is too "cold" the baby won't survive and acupuncture would help increase blood flow to the womb and make it "warm" enough for the baby to grow. She suggested i do acupuncture combined with dry cupping once a week for 3 months continously before trying to conceive again. I will admit being pricked in the same location every week does start to get very painful but it was worth it for me. She said it was important to give my womb 3 months to heal from the previous miscarriage and suggested I resume trying to conceive in July which I did and I ended up conceiving right away. To our surprise everything is going well and we are over the moon. I have had 3 scans and lots of bloods done and everything shows that baby is perfectly healthy. My doctors cannot explain what went wrong before or what's going right this time. But I know what I did differently and the only difference is trying acupuncture. I'm not a doctor so I cannot offer medical advice but I can only go by my experience. I know what it feels like not having any closure after losses. I am sharing my experience in hopes that it helps someone else who is going through unexplained infertility.
