I was the same my 1st cycle and they changed the protocol for round 2 and meds and I responded so much better that time lovely. Xx

It's soo .... bleh isn't it. You don't know what to do for the best. Do you leave it a while and eat healthier for a few months will that make a difference. Do you just go back and do it again. It's so difficult. And I swear if one more friend or family member says they are pregnant I might just punch them right in the nose 🤣🤣 xxx

So so sorry to hear that. After our abandoned cycle last year the clinic follow up appointment doctor told me I had as much chance getting pregnant with my own eggs with or without ivf - 1%. This was my diagnosis and therefore not going to be the same as yours. I was told that the only real way I could have a proper chance was to go down the donor egg route. That is what I have done, and currently into my first confirmed pregnancy ever after the second transfer.

Wishing you all the best in whatever route you decide to take. Xxx

Egg quality seemed to be our issue. My first round of ivf was hopeless. I over responded and had fast failing embryos. Second round was different and much better. I did eat a high protein/low carb diet for the month before egg collection (and continued this after embryo transfer) and took 300mg ubiquinol for three months before. I also had a change of protocol, so there were lots of things different. I got two good quality hatching blasts that round and one stuck. There is lots you can try (if you want to) before moving onto egg donation. I know it is a hard choice though and a fine balance of time and money and when to make that decision. There seems to be some promising research about the high protein low carb diet and egg quality. What did your consultant advise? Wishing you all the best xxx

Hello thank you for your reply. It's such a crazy journey. The consultant has been great and has mentioned changes of protocol but I just want to make sure I do everything I can before trying round 2. We have just had our first round my hubby suggested trying again in May but part of me thinks if there's something I can do to make more and better quality eggs(we only had 4 and they were all crap😂) then we would be better waiting until say August. But I'm not sure what I can do xxx

I responded better on a different protocol x
