bleeding during two week wait (again)

Hi everyone. The first time I posted here it was about bleeding during my tww which ended on a negative test. I’ve since had 2 more transfers (currently in the middle of 3rd tww) and I’m bleeding again like I’m on my period, so I’m not feeling very positive.

Sadly we only managed to get one egg from my last cycle through the NHS, which now means we’ve used up our 2 cycles and now need to think about going private. I’m not sure if I’m mentally ready to go through that so we will probably have a few months break. I also have a fibroid which the consultant said might be worth operating on. I’ve had a procedure on my fibroids before and the thought of waiting and having surgery for that again is daunting as well and they say it could do more damage than good. It’s all a bit overwhelming. Plus I’m turning 40 in a few weeks!

I’m not sure if I’m looking for answers or anything but just need to share what I’m going through with people that understand. Thanks for reading my rambling 🥰

No they didn’t up progesterone or add lubion. I hadn’t heard of lubion until reading these comments, I’ll definitely bring it up.

Yes definitely worth asking. It’s a lot more expensive than pessaries so did make my medication bill jump up (I take 1 per day and mine has been £60 for 1 weeks worth) but obviously worth it if it works 🤞

Ah maybe that’s why they haven’t offered it as I’m an NHS patient. I will have to go private next though so I’ll bring it up in the initial consultation

Yes definitely worth mentioning it. My NHS cycle didn’t go well in a few ways (I know this isn’t true for everyone so not putting it down) but I’ve tried to reframe it that they learned a lot about my response, my medication etc. and then the private one was much better.

Defo something to bring up! Same clinic were more keen to have extras when I was self funding but history of previous bleeding during 2ww is defo in the nhs remit to prescribe as I have had it! It defo sounds like extra progesterone is something for you to try as some people just don’t absorb the pessaries as well as others and this stopped my early bleeding (doesn’t guarantee success of course as embryo still needs to be right but one more thing that puts you in a better position for success) xx

Hi apologies if this is something you have tried but i failed 2 nhs rounds of ivf and the first cycle after the failed one got pregnant naturally with the mira ovulation tracker and fertilily conception cups. Mira gives a 7 day window of fertility and the conception cups increase your chances. I also had coq10 ubiquinol. Dhea tho this needs bloods. A Mediterranean diet. Exercise. I think doctors are quick to go to ivf it's not always the answer. Apologies again if you have tried all that. Im 40 btw and docs told me due to low amh ivf was the only way which was nonsense as you have a greater chance naturally with low amh. X

I spotted during my fresh transfer wait and it was negative. When I spoke with a consultant, I was told there should be no bleeding and she said next transfer will include lubion and cyclogest. Before my transfer I had my progesterone bloods taken and they told me they were fine but clearly they weren’t good enough. I would make enquiries about extra progesterone x

Thank you I’ll definitely ask about the amount of progesterone they’ve given me

Agree with the others about Lubion and checking progesterone levels? Did they do this? My clinic does bloods 2 days before transfer and adds in extra pessaries or injection if levels are low.

Every one is different but I’ve had 5 tww and have only bled when not using Lubion. They haven’t all been bfp but I haven’t bled while still taking the progesterone.

Are you taking blood thinners. They also make many women bleed and coz they are blood thinners the qty looks alot than it actually is.
