Hello,In January I had LLETZ treatment due to CIN1/2 changes in my cervix and they booked my check up appointment 6 months later. I booked the appointment for today as last week was my egg collection and when I went to the hospital today they said that because of the egg collection I have to wait 3 whole months. The reason they gave me was "because we are not going to find anything there today" and also "I don't think anything will happen if you wait 3 months". I really don't feel like this is true? Can someone help me out on this? Has anyone been through the same thing?
We are waiting on the PGD results of the embryos as I have a genetic mutation we don't want to pass to the baby and we don't want to have to keep delaying things... It has already been a whole year.
Thank you for your help

The reason they can not do the test is because it can cause inaccuracies if any treatment has been done with the cervix. So this is completely normal to have to wait 12 weeks as the egg collection is invasive.
yeah they can’t get an accurate result due to the egg collection I’m afraid! Defo best to wait the 3 months 🤗 annoying I know but at least your embryos are all made now and off for testing xx
Thank you. Do you know if I will be able to do the transfer after the colposcopy if they don't take a biopsy? Or will I have to wait again for it to "heal"?
I think the purpose of the colposcopy is to do a biopsy? I also had lletz procedure which removed offending tissue on the cervix so I’m not sure if they just ‘look’ what their guidance would be? It might depend what they see? You might still need to wait for results before they go ahead. My repeat appointment wasn’t a colposcopy it was smear and as soon as that came back clear I could start treatment again. For me my clinic wanted me to have a mock transfer before we started treatment again too to check no scar tissue etc causing issues with the catheter going in. Your clinic might ask the same x
