We have one blastocyst that has made it through the PGTA testing which I know is amazing but this is our one and only shot.
Can I have some positive stories please?
This is the first and only IVF we are going to try.
I am 38, my partner is 44. I have my transfer in a couple of weeks. Can anyone suggest any vitamins/food or anything to help with implantation? Has anyone had the embryo glue?
Thank you all so much

Hope every thing goes well Remember healthy diet is important -wholemeal bread -rice and pasta Plenty of green leafy veg esp steamed or raw [overcooking can destroy vitamin content]Fruit also important - the more colourful the better They said pineapples and pomegranate juice are good for fertility boosters Avoid too much processed foods Try to reduce stress levels maybe try acupuncture or reflexology
Hi I'm now almost 22 weeks pregnant - we could only have one IVF round and only had one embryo from it - hope I can reassure you! I took 10mcg vitamin d every day, then 2 sachets of Inofolic Alpha every day but that was because I was already taking it for a while to regulate my periods so folic acid and vit d probably all you need. I tried not to panic too much about what I was eating but I just had everything homemade and plenty of veg, no ready made sauces etc. Made sure it was still meals I enjoyed. We did buy wholemeal pasta as we were not going to make that ourselves! And got good sourdough from the bakery instead of a processed loaf from supermarket. Had plain greek yoghurt and berries with a sprinkling of seeds every morning for breakfast. I also switched my beauty products a week or two before transfer so that they were all fragrance free - my husband did the same the week of the transfer. I got most of mine from Simple as they weren't expensive. I'm not a gym person at all but tried to stay active going for a walk every day. If any questions let me know! Wishing you lots and lots of luck xxx
Hi, I had embryo glue on my last transfer and am nearly 19 weeks pregnant. I also drank a glass of beetroot juice every dey from the day of transfer as I had heard it’s good for blood flow. Good luck. I will be thinking of you. Xx
It's literally pot luck. That's my opinion. Currently have a 3 week old from ivf.
Our only one embryo which was a 3cc. I'm 38. I don't think all the supplements in the world or treatments will make any difference. It's just luck if that embryo takes or not unfortunately. If there was some miracle ivf would have a 100% success rate. Everyone will have their own idea as to what they believed helped but there's no evidence of anything. There's women who are stressed or eat like crap and still get pregnant . One woman might eat horse shit and praise that for helping implantation
Hi, I am also 38 and I only had one normal PGTA embryo out of 7 I sent for testing and it felt like a lot of pressure for that one to work! So far so good and I’m now 12 weeks pregnant. I tried to be healthy but still had treats if I really wanted them. I had bone broth and acupuncture after transfer which I enjoy anyway! Good luck 🩷🩷🩷
Our first round of IVF I had 8 mature eggs collected, only 3 fertilised normally, and on day 5 we only had a 2bc early blastocycst, we had a fresh transfer, so an untested embryo, and it stuck! He's now 2! All the best for your transfer ❤
Good luck 🍀🍀 I only had one embryo which made it to day 5 and it was untested and I was 41 at the time. He’s now 2.5 years old 💖 I just followed a healthy diet and moderate exercise, took folic acid and vit D as directed by my clinic but nothing else special.
I didn’t try embryo glue because there wasn’t much evidence for its use. I think there is some info on the HFEA website. See what your clinic say though as things might have changed.
My consultant told me that if the embryo has the wherewithal to implant then it will - like dropping a grain of sand in a jam sandwich 🤷🏻♀️😂 but it’s probably true.
I recently had a little girl and when I was 7 days post transfer I got norovirus…. She still implanted and grew into my little girl 💖 and I thought she didn’t stand a chance at such an early stage.
We did PGT-A testing and I'm now 30 weeks pregnant with the first PGT-A tested embryo that we transfered.
I ate as healthy as I could and I also did transfer specific acupuncture in the days leading up to transfer, the morning of transfer and the day after transfer. There's a fair bit of evidence that it helps (I was skeptical but it clearly didn't do any harm!).
