has anyone got success stories from getting very few or no blastocysts to then getting more second Round
I thawed 16 of my frozen eggs, did Isci, 12 fertilised, 8 on day 3 , then only one 4CC on day 6
My boyfriend semen analaysis and dna frag is normal
I’m 33 he is 34 no issues. Eggs were from when I was 30
Can this just be bad luck ? Or is there something wrong . Clinic have said try again with next batch of eggs just looking for some success stories to give me some hope! Thanks

Hey, my first round I was 33 (amh 5.8pmol) I had 9 eggs collected only 3 fertilised normally, on day 5 we only had one early blastocycst. On my 2nd round I was 36 (amh 3.6pmol) I had 18 eggs collected and on day 5 I had 3 good quality embryos and and 2 more good quality on day 6, so total 5 good quality embryos.
So things can change alot cycle to cycle, and amh being lower does not always mean less eggs.
hi Kate, i had similar numbers on my first round - 13 eggs, 10 fertilised with ICSI and just one 4BC embryo at the end (frozen and not tested)
Just did a second round with PICSI this time - 10 fertilised, 3 embryos at the end, 1 of which has been found to be ‘normal’ after PGT-A testing.
Because we had the same consistency of fertilised eggs im not sure if it’s the PICSI or other factors (eg. Luck). The embryos were of worse ‘quality’ but I don’t pay too much attention to that good luck on your next round!
yep the grading was worse! But relieved there is one that made it out as normal!
PICSI was the same cost and although not proven to have any positive effect compared with normal ICSI, it seemed to help us worth an explore with your doctor!
