hey! Just wondering if anyone has used this in the run up to FET? I’m taking my meds at the moment in prep so hopefully 1-2 weeks away from transfer 🤞🏻
I’ve had a few bouts of thrush recently and thought the canesflor might help.
But I won’t have time to take them all in advance as it’s one a day then one a week. Does it matter if you don’t finish the course?
And can you take it while taking cyclogest??
thanks! Xxx

Oh cool thanks! Did I see that you also took optibac? Did you take them at the same time? I’m taking the purple ones but not sure if there are better ones?
How are things with you? Hope you are managing to relax and enjoy your pregnancy? X
Hey lovely- yeah I used it as much as I could up to transfer but didn’t finish the course (think I was 4 weeks instead of 6?) but not when I started pessaries. I believe it’s discontinued now though but I had some from before but someone helpfully shared n here a few months ago alternatives in case you need that I can see if I can find that post? Xx
hi Daisy , I hope you’re well, I’ve not used it but my consultant recommended it in my review appointment last Monday (she didn’t know it had been discontinued) she said to take it daily 6 days prior to transfer x
Hi lovely, thanks for responding. Hope you are well.
Oh that’s interesting! Did she say to carry it on post transfer? Or just to take the 6 in advance? So would you be taking it at the same time as progesterone pessaries? X
Hi! I did in the run up to my transfer at the recommendation of my clinic. For 10 days straight. This was the transfer that worked for us. They have now discontinued Canesfloor but Floragyn is a good alternative. You can get it on ebay. Very best of luck!
Hi, I posted a few days ago a similar question. Ive been taking the Optibac purple probiotics for about 6 months now but wanted to take vaginal ones in the lead up to FET. I was recommended a couple different alternatives to canesflor. I ordered some straight away, so have only just started using them and I'm about a month away from transfer. Same as you I often suffer with thrush so hoping to keep it at bay. 🤞
I've also tried to increase my intake of fermented food, no idea if that will help 🤷🏼♀️
With regards to the cyclogest, I suppose you could use that anally and probiotic vaginally?
Hi there, I’m same as you, about to have an FET in 1-2 weeks depending on lining thickness at next scan! I’ve also been on a bit of a probiotic rampage! 😅
I’ve been working with some amazing fertility specialists and so far this so what I’m doing based on recommendations, if it can help at all .
I’ve been taking a fantastic oral probiotic (for vaginal microbiome) called Bio.Me Femme V by Invivo. They also offer vaginal microbiome testing and are experts in it all. Too late for me to test now, but knowing I’m supporting with probiotics is good. I’m also taking Pure Encapsulations ProFlora GG 25B as this is a specific strain that apparently many are deficient in. It’s apparently amazing to take in third trimester and through to breastfeeding (if you do) - I recommended to a friend who is currently breastfeeding and she said it’s really helped her IBS too!
I was also recommended to use a probiotic toothpaste and mouthwash that supports the oral microbiome as this is now juts starting to be looked into more deeply - oral health is so important for fertility. I’m using zendium toothpaste and also the Invivo Bio.Me Oral mouthwash. I wanted to as I recently had a wisdom tooth infection and was on antibiotics so that would have wiped out all the good bacteria. Basically it’s looking to treat both ends of the gut! So both oral and vaginal are important to take care of.
I wanted to also try canesflor but I too didn’t realise it was discontinued!
Yes to the fermented foods too if you like them. Keffir, natural yogurt, Saurkraut and kimchi are all good for feeding the good bacteria!
Just sharing what I’ve been doing and have been recommended my multiple people in the field of fertility (doctors, nutritionists etc)
I have used Vagibiom before transfer and 5 days after transfer and beyond. Flora femme is also good and I used this straight after transfer. It is expensive so it’s only good for short term.
Hi I used 3 a day Canesflor for 3 weeks up to my transfer that worked. The reason I did this was because I had previously used 1 a day before a biopsy that tested my microbiom and still said I had 0% good bacteria so 1 a day didn’t work for me. I knew I needed a massive help on getting my good bacteria going so I did 3 canesflor a day! I don’t think you can do any harm with lots of it. It worked anyway ☺️
hi there, I took it for quite a while because a biopsy came back showing I had really low population of ‘good’ bacteria in my uterus. Probably due to all the antibiotics over the last year or so! I would absolutely speak to your clinic about taking it with cyclogest - they might just be able to advise on timing so everything is absorbed if you’re using a lot of pessaries and it’s generally good for them to know you’re taking it and defo good to mention the thrush to them
When I took the Canesflor, my consultant said it was best to take it at night. X
