I live in a flat 3rd floor and am due for fet in Sep, my problem is there's no lift and I can only use stairs...now, has anyone used stairs after transfer? Will i need to book a guest house or just go home after transfer?😔

Thanks ivfgotadream, I really needed an assurance, did you use stairs after transfer and got a bfp

I probably did all the things you get told not to! I drove home from the transfer and then had to carry my daughter whose 4 home when she fell over so loads of heavy lifting - lots of general running about and not resting 🤣

Stairs are absolutely fine! Doing your usual activity level and keeping the blood going are all good for implantation. No vigorous exercise and I used it as a good excuse not to do the hoovering but other than that you can go back to everything as normal. 😊

Thanks suzy86 for the reassurance

Stairs are fine. I live in a flat too. I didn’t change my life really other than not carry heavy shopping or any heavy lifting

Thanks hydromermaid-1, am now ready for the journey ahead

Hi Dattie,

My house is three floors.

I am always up and down from first to third.

First few days I did try and avoid going up and down a lot but it’s impossible not to use the stairs.

Don’t stress too much. Just go up and down slowly 💛

I really wish I could stop stressing 😔 I'll really try to be slow... fingers crossed for that bfp in sept

You can live your normal life after the transfer, just no heavy lifting or hard exercise x if we couldn’t walk up and down the stairs trying to get pregnant there would not be any people around 😉x try not to stress too much about it x

It's really hard not to stress, when one has a million things in their not to do list 🤣. I'll try though 🤗

Hi Dattie, for the first few days after transfer you will want to take it easy. Advice varies greatly so I can only share my experience. I was actually advised to rest for 48 hours & avoid stairs. I was told I could go for a short walk on the evening 2nd day post transfer. If you are unsure it is best to ask your clinic. Wishing you the best Xx

My clinic has stairs so I had to use them straight after my transfer to leave. We also live in a 3rd floor flat with no lift. Stairs are fine. Running and high cardio type exercise and swimming etc are all out, but everything else is fine. I got a BFP. Wishing you lots of luck. xx
