My hubby and I will be starting our second stimulation cycle next month. We have got two precious frozen embies from our first cycle but our clinic want to get more before trying a transfer.
Our consultant has said that I may want to take a low dose of DHEA which may help us to get more eggs. Has anyone tried this? Did you get any side effects?

Hi yeah I’ve used dhea amongst other supplements for 3 mths we conceived the 3rd mth but for us it wasn’t a good outcome we had another mc our 3rd. Should I have used a higher amount? I took 50mg should I have taken it longer? 🤷🏻♀️ I would definitely try it it can’t hurt. I took it for egg health as we keep miscarrying. I’ve haven’t took anymore since my mc in jan ive used up the ubiquinol I had left over.

I used DHEA on our 4th round and now have a gorgeous 6 week old girl now!! I took 75mg for 4 months prior to the cycle. We went from having very poor quality embryos to 1 great embryo in the last cycle. I was told to take it for 3-4 months as it is most effective at the beginning of the egg maturity which happens about 90 days before ovulation. I also took 300mg Coq-10 Ubiquonol too on the same round. x

Sorry I’m a bit late replying to this one just read it now but I read up about DHEA and started taking it without any advice etc. I had seen online that you should get tested after 6 weeks but my GP wouldn’t test me. I then saw a fertility nutritionist who referred me for blood tests and my testosterone levels were way above range so she took me off it.
I would suggest anyone taking it to get tested after 6 weeks.

I asked my doctor about taking It and she said It was fine. I was taking 75 mg during two months prior to egg collection, if any, side effects were not obvious. This time I had 10 eggs instead of 6 with even lower AMH... Could have been coincidence but at least It didn't hurt me!
