Positive on 3dp5dt but negative on 4dp5dt - help

hello,

As you can see, we had a very faint line yesterday on day 3 and nothing today on day 4. Have I had a chemical pregnancy? Could yesterday be a false positive? Shall I try again tomorrow? Did I do the test wrong today?

Any examples or tips to help my mind would be helpful!

Hi Did you have a transfer with a trigger shot? During a fresh transfer (and sometimes during frozen transfer) a HCG trigger shot is given just before you have your eggs collected. If you test too early the HCG remains in your system and shows up as though it is a positive test. If you had a trigger shot I think this is the most likely scenario. If you didnt have a trigger shot, it could be an evaporation line. Either way I think you have probably tested too early, you need to give it a good few days I would say until at least 8 days after transfer x

It was a frozen embryo transfer so no trigger shot. Hopefully I’ve just done the test too early as you say. Thank you. What a rollercoaster

I agree with skittles, most likely it’s an evap line, which doesn’t mean you won’t get a positive in a few days. Fingers crossed!

I had a weird line like that - where it didn't go the whole way up - with a faulty test. It's quite early to test, even with the very early/'6 days early' ones (is that the sort you've used?) so I wouldn't get disheartened just yet and maybe test again over next few days/week.

I would use a different kind of test, either a pink dye one like a FRER or a boots one as these tests give me false positives/evap lines a lot (wee skinny lines or dont go all the way up) so I dont trust them any more xx
