Hello, I am 26 year old and got pregnant for the first time last year around august and miscarried in October therefore, almost 2 months. After that, my periods my have been irregular and so my period cycle. I have also gained weight that is triggering my PCOS. I have been trying to get pregnant for about 6 months but it is just not happening. My periods are definitely not in the cycle and I get headaches quite often. My doctor has advised me to get blood tests done. I am just really worried that how can I get pregnant so easily before and not now. I am really tensed that it could delay for years due to my hormonal imbalance or is this normal and I will get pregnant hopefully? Just need some reassurance and advise. Thank you so much for your time.

6 MONTHS SINCE MISCARRIAGE - TRYING TO CONCEIVE
Hi QZ - I hope youre doing okay. Id firmly suggest getting a full blood spectrum from likes of Medichecks or a restricted one from Hertility to look at where your hormones are sitting at - in case your thyroid is out. But apparently we are all chronically short (in the UK) of vitamin D, magnesium, zinc and even iron. So it might be worth making sure you're taking a good multivitamin now if you're not already? And maybe having a think about considering your bath and beauty regime to remove phalates, etc. The Yuka app is really good for allowing you to check whether you're products are possibly disrupting your hormones. And then look to Mediterranean diet and removing plastics (IE takeaway boxes, etc). And I think given your age it will happen naturally but if youre still struggling you could have a look at "It starts with the egg" by Rebecca Fett. Good luck xx
Hi. Awful to hear about the miscarriage. Did you have any infection or medical intervention. Sometimes Fallopian tubes can get blocked. Following any infection and prevents any excess lubrication drawing away at the open end. If any drips into the womb, it can sometimes prevent a developing embryo from implanting. Perhaps a hysteroscopy to check out womb and biopsy the lining. Perhaps a bit dramatic but worth asking . Good luck. Diane
