We have just had our one and only little embryo transferred today! I am 43 and this really is our one and only chance so keeping everything crossed for this little one! Is anyone at the same stage and age as me??
I have just started the Lubion and oh my god it hurts! It took so long to go in I thought the syringe or needle was broken/blocked! I have read lots on this since and it seems to be quite common....
I hate the injections so much but i heard something earlier that said each one you take is one day closer to your baby, one less to do and that the medication is helping to create the perfect space to grow so to try and think of doing the injections in a positive way.
So with the Lubion, I have read from others to try and warm it slightly before use in your bra/underarms and to ice before and after... I'm too scared to try the thigh as I have muscly legs and think this will hurt more as there is less fat! Any more tips? Thank you and all the best to you all

I’m slightly younger, but I’ve also had a transfer today with our only blastocyst!
The Lubion injections do hurt a bit, I’ve been doing them this cycle too. The first one was the worst, but the subsequent ones weren’t as bad. I’m injecting it in the belly and what I’ve been doing differently was to warm the vial in my hands for a few minutes before injecting, making sure I don’t move the needle at all while it’s in and I’m injecting slowly, and after I take it out, i hold pressed for a few minutes and then massage the area with my finger joints for about 5 minutes, to make sure that the liquid disperses around and gets absorbed. The preparation does seem more viscous in Lubion than the other medicines and I suppose that’s why it’s more difficult to inject, it has more resistance, and then it doesn’t absorb as fast.
With this strategy the needle area is still a tad sore for the next 24 hours, but nowhere as bad as after my first injection. I couldn’t bend at all after that one!
Hi Sunrise127, I am in a same boat. I had embryo transfer on monday. I take two shots daily in my stomach s.c., prolutex (similar to lubion) and fraxiparine in the evening. I am 43 years old having last chances with my own eggs. My doctor suggests transfer of all the 3 embryos that have morilula stage. Good luck to us!!!
Just wanted to wish you and the other over 40s in the 2WW all the best. I get how agonising it is but I also did get success with my own eggs at 43 so miracles do happen. Take care x
I am 44 and coming to the end of 2ww of what will be my last cycle with OEs. Just wanted to say JoyfulStar , I read your posts and story probably about 6 months ago when I had my last failed cycle and was on the verge of giving up because of my age, you gave me a bit of hope at that time so than k you.
Sending huge luck to you Sunrise127 , with your precious embryo, wishing you peace and baby dust for the coming weeks.
It’s not easy but I’m here with all those fighting on.❤️❤️❤️
good luck 🤗 if there is sooo much resistance with the lubion try another area it shouldn’t take so long to go in and if it does that is usually the sore ones for me so if it doesn’t break the skin in a few seconds I just move position and then as soon as it breaks the skin it’s in in seconds! Hope that helps xx
Good way of thinking that each injection is taking you closer to achieving your dream Try to relax your muscles before the jag - alternate the site each time - massage the area after finishing the injection
