4th FET another BFN

So this was our last embryo of our first round of IVF and tested this morning 9dp5dt and it’s a BFN. I had an endometrial scratch this time and double the amount of progesterone so really thought it might work 😢 Our first FET was the only positive we’ve had which ended in a chemical then 3 negatives. We have had blood tests and are with the NHS and with a clinic who have an excellent reputation and success rates. Feeling a bit lost, deflated and devastated 😔 to top it off my cousin gave birth yesterday and so many people around me about to give birth very soon. It’s absolutely shit. What next? xx

I’m so sorry about your chemical and your BFN, there’s nothing that can really make it better but know that you’re not alone and everyone here is here for you ❤️ Have you spoken to your clinic yet? They might decide to change your protocol or try something different for next time. I know how awful it is to have pregnancy/birth around you - my sister in law is currently pregnant. It hurts so much but you have to hold on to the hope that it’ll be you one day. Make sure you speak to your clinic and ask what they think and what they would do next time. Sending you lots of love x

Thank you I will do exactly that. No I’ve not spoken to them yet as my blood test isn’t until Monday morning and then guessing I’ll have to wait 2-3 weeks for the follow up appointment! It’s so unfair I can’t stop crying and just feel like giving up. Thanks for your comforting reply xxx

I’m so sorry 😢 it might be good to prepare a wee list of questions for your review with your consultant around things you could try- some people have a different ‘window’ of when is best to transfer the embryo or when to start the progesterone form and there are tests for that etc. that they might be able to do to. Was there anything at all on your first FET that was different that maybe they can draw on for what to repeat? Xx

For my first one I think the only difference was that I had less progesterone and hadn’t had an endometrial scratch. It seems like a minefield at the moment. I have no idea what to ask really but will mention your suggestions and ask if any further tests can be done etc. Thanks for your reply and kind words xxx

Sometimes It can just be a game of chance which ones work and dont but it’s always good to ask anyway I feel better having asked the questions even if it’s not something that would help me xx
