the third implantation failure since November, couldn’t be more heartbroken. We had 6 high / good grade embryos, 3 transfers and 5 embryos later we are left with one, the lowest grade. Where do we go from here. Absolutely devastated 😢

I’m so sorry, I know how it feels 😕 try and draw comfort from the fact that you still have one precious frostie waiting to be transferred, and that this might be THE embaby that will make themselves feel at home in your belly. It really is a numbers game, so don’t lose hope. And don’t put too much weight into the grading, it’s just a snapshot of a moment in time. Thinking of you x

Thank you. Just absolutely awful knowing so much was changed for this round + still a negative outcome x

Hello. I have no words as I know exactly how you feel. I am going through that as we speak. Exactly the same story as you. We now have had 3 transfer fails with 5 high graded embryos. This round I made sure my diet was good, acupuncture, changed protocol, supplements, no alcohol or caffeine, etc. heartbroken too. Hope this last embaby is our/your chance to become a mama! I’m thinking of you xx Sending you hugs! Think positive and know that you’ll be a mom soon ♥️

Wow, exactly the same.

I was so over the top with this one + felt so so calm the whole time, including up until day 9 of the TWW I was convinced it had worked. I think for my own sanity I need to do some tests etc now as I can’t risk this again.

Are you going to go straight into another round when you can?

Sending you lots of love, it’s bloody tough xx

I know what you mean. I was so super calm, way more calm than the previous ones. I was shocked but also I protected myself by saying it probably didn’t work…

Yes, I am planning on doing my last transfer right away. No sense in waiting because if this doesn’t work, we will give IVF one more go. What about you?

It is so so so tough…but only ppl understand that who go through it, so I’m here for you to talk to xx

So sorry you’re going through this hun. Hope you have plenty of support around you. You are so strong getting this far. Hope your last embaby works for you. Don’t think too much about the grade as so many women’s here had success with lower grades. Wishing you all the best xx

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I had 4 failed transfers with good quality embryos before I went for further testing. Have you looked into Alice, Era and Emma testing? My treatment plan was changed after I got the results as they found out I was pre-receptive and needed an extra day of progesterone prior to transfer. They also found that the bacterial culture in my womb wasn't optimal. It may also be worth looking into any potential auto-immune conditions you may have (I found out I had one despite having no symptoms and needed treatment prior and after transfer). We also did PGT-A testing as well. I'm now 16 weeks pregnant, so please don't lose hope. I know repeated implantation failure is horrible, but you do have options. Sending you luck and hugs X

I havnt done those tests, I hadn’t even heard of them until today if I’m completely honest, where did you get them done? I’m based close(ish) to London, not sure if you are?

It’s crazy, I can’t believe we are back here, it’s the worst feeling in the world. Glad you’ve got your positive and now to week 16 that’s amazing xxx

With Alice, Era and Emma testing you prepare your body as though you're going for transfer but, instead of the transfer, your consultant will scrap some cells from your womb and send them to a lab for testing (usually takes a couple of weeks for the results to come back). If you're private, they should be able to do the tests. Not sure about the NHS as you do have to pay for that testing to be done.

With PGT-A testing the embryologist will culture the embryos until day 5 and then remove several cells from each embryo and then send them to a lab for testing. Chromosomal issues account of many failed transfers and miscarriages. And even a top graded embryo can be 'abnormal'. We had a 4AA come back as 'abnormal' while some of the embryos which were graded at a poorer quality came back fine. Again, this is something the NHS doesn't provide, so you'd need to pay for it.

Fortunately, it doesn't matter where you are based because everything is sent off to where it needs to go. It is an extra financial cost, but for us it was worth it (and it definitely helped).

Hope this helps! X

That’s really helpful, we have exhausted all the nhs avenues after transfer 2 anyway. Was wondering if you had any clinic recommendations.

Thank you xx

so sorry 😔 definitely try Emma / Alice . That was recommended to me by a consultant . I took the probiotics regardless of having the test xxxx

Sorry to hear you're in this position. I know it only too well, unfortunately. We're left with our two lowest grades after 5 transfers. My last transfer I took steroids, clexane and aspirin, which were all new and didn't work. I have Adenomyosis so will down regulate for the next 3 months and take probiotics. I don't know if you've done the Emma/Alice tests, or looked at what else you could do differently. Don't give up, the last one might be the one to work. Good luck!

I’m so sorry. It’s the worst feeling ever. I’ve just had my 10th embryo transferred and I know it hasn’t worked, I’m only 5dpt. But I think you just know don’t you. And the only way I can describe how I feel is completely crushed. Somehow we find a way to dust ourselves off and go again, the hope keeps us going. You still have one embryo left, which although lesser quality it’s still a good quality embryo otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to freeze it. Take some time to let yourself feel all of the feelings and to then heal as much as you can from them. You are doing amazingly, it’s such a tough journey which many others just can’t understand unless they’ve been through it. Sending you hugs 🫶 xx

That last little frostie could be your little frostie babe. Don’t lose hope lovely, the age old saying that it only takes one is more than true. You are closer now to getting that baby than you ever have been ❤️ Every day is one step closer xxxx

I’m so sorry it’s the toughest journey it really is. I know of quite a few people who was told they were down to their poorest quality embryo but that was the one that worked and they have beautiful babies so I wouldn’t listen too much about the grading. I would also reccomend optical probiotic tablets for good bacteria. I took these on my successful cycle you can get them cheap on Amazon. Good luck for your next cycle when you feel ready and I hope you have lots of support around you xx

It's a tough journey but the way I tried to get through it was not make it the main thing in my life and still go out have fun and do normal things I. E. Go to a comedy show and things like that. It's easier said than done I know, but don't forget to enjoy life and forget to smile and laugh as a couple x

For me I looked at ivf like this I know Iv tried so my conscious is clear for that and if it works it's a bonus x

I wish you all the best xxx

9 AA and AB embryos and 7 transfers before I finally got my BFP. I’m convinced it’s my little and only 6 day BB that’s worked 💖 Transger 5 I started doubles. Transfer 6 they added lots of extras and still BFN but transfer 7 was the one for me 💖 Hope this gives you some hope and positivity. Your last little embie just may be your one 💖
