I had a 5 day blastocyte transferred 7 days ago but was told not to test for a further 7 days . The last time it was only 10 days I had to wait . Is anyone else the same ? Xx

My clinic always schedule test day for day 13 or 14! And that's for a blood test. Most seem to test on day 9 or 10?

My clinic told me my official test day was 9 days post transfer. Although I was testing from 5 days post transfer! I just find it better for my mental well-being to test early and be let down gradually, rather than wait for a big test day.

At 7dp5dt you should see a faint positive if you are pregnant so I would just test whenever you are mentally ready. Some people find it easier not to do any early testing. It won’t change the outcome at the end of the day, so just test when you want. Wishing you lots of luck x

I'm currently day 8 and my clinic want me to wait till day 13, it's normally day 11 which is Saturday so they want me to wait to Monday which is weird as I do an at home urine test anyway. I'm desperate to test but trying my hardest to wait as for me if I see a negative now I'll be sad all week and I think daily testing hoping it will change will be worse for me but it seems to be personal preference.

Really sore boobs the last few days, way more than previous transfers but I know that can be progesterone so trying to not to think too much about it, though it's hard.

Hi Thom. I would want you to wait at least 12 days to be sure, but go with what the clinic has recommended. Keep up with all prescribed medication and Folic Acid. Good look. Diane

10 days for a fresh cycle and 13-14daya for a frozen is the norm at my clinic but for either I’ve always tested early and had my result by 8-9dpt xx

Hi there, some people prefer to be PUPO and only test on the OTD; some (with my patience) will test early. I follow this approach - reddit.com/r/IVF/comments/f...

However, you have to ready for the mental rollercoaster should you choose to test early. With my last transfer (2 weeks ago), I tested from 5dp5dt, was pleasantly and cautiously surprised when I got my faint BFP on day 6 (earliest I have ever gotten a BFP). I booked myself a blood test on day 10 (would have done day 9 but it was a Sunday) and my HCG was abnormally low, the repeat 2 days later only saw a single digit increase.. so it isn't looking great for me.

My OTD is tomorrow (14dp5dt); if I had waited I might have spared myself the mental torture (plus the costs of those FRERs)!

And to answer your question. You should know by day 9 via bloods, and day 11 via pee.

Good luck with yours 🍀
