I have just had my consultation and ready to start cycle two. In the post review letter it says “DHEA was suggested although we are unsure of its benefits.” What are peoples thoughts? After lots of research it seems very hit and miss. Also if I were to take them can anyone PM with good brands please?
Thanks in advance!

I've been recommended it too but they are unsure of the benefits. There can be some side effects from taking it which may outweigh the benefits. I've ordered some in case my next FET doesn't work. I'll probably try DHEA but not on the highest dose.
Thanks for your response. No I don’t take that do you? They suggested I take DHEA 75mg which is really high but equally I’ve seen all the side effects and been put off 🤦♀️ I’ve got an egg collection soon so it’s whether I take it in preparation for that. X
I take ubiquinol as the active form of Q10 and vitamin E. they can help with egg quality and reduce antioxidant effects. Especially if you have inflammation from endo.
I just wanted to warn you that DHEA made my endo LOADS worse it was the final straw that broke things for me and I so regret taking it. It led to my worse egg collection results too. Please have a good read about it and consider whether worth the risk if you have endometriosis. I also got bad acne and some hair growth (not end of world and reversible but the endo worsening was not).
Thanks so much. I have stage 4 endo which was why I was super hesitant. Your comment has really helped and I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Could you PM me the brand of Q10 you’re using please? Thanks again x
I took DHEA before my best ever cycle. I feel it may have really helped get me a high number of embryos. I had no symptoms despite already having endo and PCOS. I would only recommend taking it if you are willing to pay for monthly blood work for your testosterone and DHEA levels (please read into it first). You have to be aware of where your levels are supposed to be and keep them stable for 3 months prior to collection. Xx
