I had a frozen embryo transfer, tested positive last week and continuing to take progesterone and estrogen.
I did a test today, and then a couple more to make sure, but they all now say negative.
Can the estrogen and progesterone prevent bleeding and early miscarriage symptoms? I have a viability scan booked for next week, but contacted my clinic to see what the procedure is now.
Thank you x

I'm so sorry you are going through this, but yes the progesterone can delay the bleeding. This happened to me, I had my BFP but then tested negative a few days later. The clinic asked me to confirm the negative test the following morning then to stop medication. I started bleeding 2-3 days later.
I'm sorry. It's best to speak to your clinic as sometimes they will want you to keep on the meds or do blood tests, but generally yes, progesterone tends to stop the bleed at this stage and typically you get the withdrawal bleed a couple or a few days after you stop the meds. Not always though and I've had spotting/bleeding despite being on progesterone and equally with a later loss I didn't bleed at all. This could potentially be a difficult limbo period for you and I hope you have support around you x
