Hi, I am on day 2 of my cycle and need to start taking ovulation tests from day 10 to have my natural frozen embryo transfer. Any tips from anyone who has had a frozen transfer done? Xxx

Trust your doctor and what they are telling you to do.

Everyone will have experienced different FET protocols (natural or medicated) and I suspect whether it is successful is more down to the quality of the embryo(s) they transfer than the protocol, assuming transfer is timed correctly in relation to when you ovulated.

If you ovulate at a similar point each month, just treat it like any natural month of trying (if you can) and trust that the OPK will do its work.

In my natural FET I did no OPKs rather my doctor did a scan and blood test 5 days out and from that predicted when I would ovulate. Because I couldn’t believe he could predict it that far out I also measured my temperature, which confirmed he was right - it spiked the day after he predicted! I am now 5.5 weeks pregnant.

That said, I drove myself nuts, given I’d never previously temped and this was the first cycle I had following a miscarriage, hence my suggestion that you trust in what you have been told and go with that and only that!

Wishing you lots of luck.

Hi Grace

I’m on day 10 of my cycle hoping to have a natural FET when I ovulate. I’ve been told just to trust my body and follow clinics instructions. There isn’t much to do other than the ovulation tests.

Although I was supposed to have a transfer last cycle but I,m not sure if I had a faulty kit or didn’t ovulate because I just kept getting the flashing smiley face for 8 days 😔

Good luck x

I thought it was so much better than the fresh cycle . So much easier !!! only thing on pessaries for longer . I’m now 14 weeks and going strong . I wasn’t as military or anxious this time round . Go with the flow , do what you normally do and enjoy it ! Your trying for a baby ! Loads love xxx

Thankyou, this made me smile. We are having the transfer next week as I am ovulating today! I’m very nervous as I didn’t get the chance to have a fresh transfer due to me developing OHSS after ivf so I had to wait 3 months for my body to get back to normal. So happy with your news good luck xxxx
