Our clinic says they only freeze embryos on day 4.All over the forums and internet I hear freezing at day 5 or 6.
I have no idea why our clinic does at day 4 🥺
I checked with them if it’s just mine but they confirmed this is their protocol. Day 3 transfer and rest are frozen on day 4( based on survival)
I am 36 with 2 failed fresh transfers and now 3 frozen at day 4. Hence trying to understand if I should start a fresh cycle somewhere else( where day 5 is done) or rely on these 3 day 4 FET now ?

I have 2 frozen at day 4. My clinic explained to me that it's based on the growth of the blasto. I guess it's ok?
Though I have to say that my first FET failed and it's a day 4. I've yet to see the doctor on the failure though, but doubt there could be any real explanation except to try again.
Just checking in how your doctor visit went as I am now in the same situation the failed day 4 transfer
Everything looks textbook perfect as the embryo became a blastocyst after the thaw 🥺 here in clinic I know a 100% the advice will be to keep trying hence curious if you heard anything else
What I did for my 2nd FET was to try a high protein diet (was eating normally for my 1st FET). I was told high protein diet is better to help implementation and I also went for acupuncture. I had red bean soup and Brazil nuts to help with lining and slow walk daily for maybe 30 mins to help blood circulation. I only can tell you what I did for my 2nd FET but ultimately still depends on sheer luck.
If happy to freeze embryos at day 4 they must be showing a good growth rate and appearance Explain to your clinic your concerns and this may help put your mind at rest
Thank you Janet f oh r the positive thoughts. I hoped that too but looks like day 4 is when the clinic freezes the embryos irrespective of its blastocyst or not 🥺
Awaiting the embryo report hopefully will get it this week and will know more
Thank you for the suggestions! Indeed you all are right, I asked for the embryo report and it shows 3 are frozen at all different days. 1 day 4, 1 day 5 and 1 of day 6.
It could be a language issue with the doctors which resulted in my incorrect understanding as I only speak English. However I am much relieved now!
For peace of mind can you ask to speak directly to the embryologist and ask the reason behind their 4 day policy and the criteria that they use? Their statistics/data points for their decision making?
