Quick question - if I have a (450iu + 250iu) 0.72mL pergoveris pre filled pen and I am required to take 250 units per day - does that cover only one day, and I would need another 50iu for a different syringe to make it up to two days!
Very confusing!
Also - are these injections okay with the pressure on a flight? We won’t be near a fridge and have a little medication cooler pack so hoping that will be okay out of the fridge for 10 hours.
Yours faithfully - a stressed travelling IVFer

I didn't use that specific type of pen, but my pen had a bunch extra in it (for air bubble removal etc.), so you might find you get a full 250 x 2 out of the 450 pen. Not 100% sure on that pen though.
Keep all your medications in your hand baggage not checked. Should be fine I think the small print in the handout usually says it's good out of the fridge for so many hours anyway. Xx
> I am required to take 250 units per day -Correct. You can ignore the "+250iu" in the product name.
If you have to take 250iu daily, I would have expected to be prescribed 900iu to give you 3 doses from the same pen.
900iu pens were only £50-70ish more expensive than 450iu ones from memory from last year (like £220 to £280).
In-flight injections I've never had to do so can't help, maybe you could query the clinic coordinator, they usually have answers to this kind of questions.
