Clexane injection question

Hi everyone,

I have a question in a rush I injected the about 3cm away from my belly button, so quite close and I know it should be 5cm. Do you think there will be issues or side effects from this mistake?

I just got these new injections here in London as I ran out, so I wasn’t used to the way they handle compared to the ones I got in Greece.

My clinic says injections should be two finger widths away from tummy button so that’s not much more than 3cm

As long as you pinched the skin and it went into the skin tissue, should not be an issue. Xx

I didn’t pinch it either 😥 but it did go in fairly easily and there was no bleeding? Is the pinching necessary? I will be sure to do that next time. My other injections from Greece didn’t require that, and I was in a rush. Thanks for your help and advice xx

Good to hear no bleeding- lots of people get lovely bruises on their tummy with flex and Not necessary re pinching but it helps pull the skin away from anything internal/muscle and I find it easier to get the needle in as well as the skin doesn’t move away. You’re very welcome and good luck!

Hi Smaug. Don’t worry it will absorb ok. I always work in a “smile” from side to side under belly button. Diane

Thanks for you advice Diane, the smile technique is a good idea because I normally stay in the same area on each side and both sides are a bit tender xx
