so I’m just being majorly paranoid and looking for reassurance as yesterday I started developing a cold that seems more like the flu now. Now just overthinking things being like it definitely won’t work now 😳 anyone else managed to get a positive despite this happening or got any stories of reassurance?

Try not to worry too much the embryo is safe and sound Look after yourself - if throat sore/ coughing try honey and lemon and maybe a steam inhalation [ hot warm in bowl towel over head and breathe in -can help with blocked nose ] Drink plenty of fluids if temp up take some paracetamol -remember no anti inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen Rest an take it easy Take any meds you have been given as directed
Hope you feel better soon

weirdly this can be a good sign for me for implantation! I’ve read while your body is fighting a cold or flu it is less likely to ‘fight’ off the embryo trying to implant (an unproven theory but one I held on to when ill in 2ww). I have definitely had embryos implant whilst I have the flu so I think if it’s gonna stick it’s gonna stick 🤗 good luck xx
hello
I am also in the same boat well I started to get poorly just after the collection but had a 3 day transfer - it’s now been 4 days - I’ve had cramps as well as battling a terrible cough and cold I found hot lemon and honey and rest to help so much
Might try hot lemon and honey! I’ve had a bit of cramping too, felt horrible when I got up this morning. I’m hoping tomorrow I can rest and try and get rid of it as I’m not working! Hope you feel better soon, when is your OTD?
I am due to find out this week I have a blood test booked this Wednesday after work - testing negative at the moment with period type cramps I pray so much it doesn’t come and I’m pregnant I’m 9 days past 3 day transfer x
Sorry to hear that but I hope the test on Wednesday has better news, I think cramping isn’t always a bad sign! x
I had severe norovirus with my first transfer, tested on day 7 because I thought no way has it worked when Iv not eaten/drank for 3 days…positive! Embryos are more resilient than we think 💪🏼
Thanks so much for replying! That’s so nice to hear! You just worry about everything don’t you x
Definitely, you worry about getting a positive and then you worry about line progression then staying pregnant 😵💫 I’m currently 9dp5dt and was coughing before during and after my transfer, I asked if you can cough the embryo out and they laughed 🤣 good luck to you and sending positive vibes your way ✨✨✨✨
Awww bless you, hope you are feeling a bit better now? Congrats I hope that embryo stick in there 💪 definitely know those line days are awful. Trying my best to stay away from tests until Sunday! Don’t want to be tempted, did you test early?
I am thank you ☺️ I tested until day 7 this time and it was negative so I stopped and I’m going to wait until my otd on Sunday now. Not sure I can cope with another stark white test!
Iv been cramping all week and started spotting (tmi when I wipe) on the evening of day 7 and still a little now but not full flow, so unsure if AF is on her way or it’s implantation…who knows!
How are you feeling other than your cold?
Thanks for asking this question, I've developed a sore throat and my throat is painful and I have headache with neck pain. I'm trying not to add more medicine to my already long list of drugs.
Also scared to take paracetamol. I have told the clinic and they were sorry to hear it, still cross fingers for test day. Assume if they had anything to advise they would....by looks of it, embryo won't care about our cough and cold as long as it gets it's progesterone.
Good 🤞😊🤞
