norehisterone to delay period & subsequent problems with ovulation?

Hi I wondered if anyone knows/ has experience with taking norehisterone to delay a period and then having irregular cycles/late ovulation ever since? I took it in August for a holiday (I didn’t want my holiday to be ruined) and it worked and I got my period 3 days after stopping use as the instructions say! All fine. However, each cycle since then has been longer than they were before August, going from around 28/29 to 34/36 days. I’m doing clearblue ovulation tests and I am getting up to 10 days of high fertility before I get a peak which I know is not normal. Before August they were working fine, 3/4 days high and then a peak. I just have no idea what’s changed or why. This is the only thing I can pin it down to as it happened at the same time. Also I stopped taking fertility vitamins in September for a break as they were so expensive. I’ve started again now but maybe the vitamins I was on were helping to regulate my cycle? I just have no idea and feel clueless! As a bit of background, we have been trying for 2 years and have unexplained infertility. I also had an ultrasound last year which showed enlarged polycystic ovaries but the Dr said I do not have PCOS as I don’t have any other symptoms. Recently had day 2 blood tests again to see if there was anything but all came back normal apparently. Does anyone have any experience with this? I’m worried I am not ovulating properly. Xx

I’ve used norithisterone loads before for holiday period delay with no trouble. Strangely when I took it prior to IVF cycle as requested by clinic, I didn’t get AF for 10 days after stopping it. Since then my cycles have been weird (5 weeks, 2 weeks no ovulation, 3 weeks…) but I’m guessing that’s more the IVF meds than the norithisterone. I’m not much help, other than to say my hunch is that all these meds certainly seem to have the ability to send cycles an off course!

Thank you for your reply, I’m just worried I’ve messed everything up! We don’t have our 1st hospital appointment until August so just flying solo and hoping it happens but I just don’t know what’s going on with my body!
