My FET is booked for Wednesday 31st Jan and I was advised by the clinic yesterday to commence on the utrogestan vaginal pessaries three times a day, today.
I am nervous as I do get quite tight in that area! The pessaries did come with an applicator but I am looking for any tips on insertion? Sorry I sound crazy haha.
Thank you

Hi!I started them last Sunday and I was just as terrified as I was with the injections!
**Apologies if I give TMI from here onwards** I've never used tampons as the few times I tried I just could not get them in, and the nerves don't help. So what's been helping me is kneeling on the floor, legs as wide as possible, bend forward, twist the applicator in slowly whilst I try and help a bit opening with my finger, then I stop feeling the pressure and once the wider top is in the rest goes in smoothly. First few times took me a few minutes, by now it's done in seconds.
Again apologies if that was too graphic! Best of luck for your FET x
Hi Lovetravelling. Try putting a little bit of lubricating gel on vaginal entrance, then lie on your back with legs bent up, then push it in as far as you can like a tampon. Good. Diane
I found it easier to stand up, especially as I needed to insert the middle dose whilst at work. I did the first few at home and really slowly - it felt more uncomfortable straight after egg collection, but did get easier as my body healed and as I got used to the process. Best of luck, you've got this x
I’ve never used an applicator and just shove it up with my fingers as far as I can. Bloods day before transfer always show optimal levels so it must work!
Hi lovetravelling. I find they are actually easier than a tampon! Advice is get it into position so you are standing/sitting/lying down comfortably, holding it in place as far up as you can before you feel resistence and then stop for a little while and take deep breaths. Only push in further on an out breath once you are starting to feel relaxed. The deep breaths will help relax all the muscles which really helps insertion.
