Hi Dreams12, first of all please try not to worry as this is the period which you need to relax. As I understand it, the pessaries provide progesterone support and supplement the progesterone you produce naturally. Did they check your progesterone? If not I would suggest getting that done and from that they will tell you what you need. I think each clinic has a level they are happy with so anything less, they will boost it to support you through this stage. I have everything crossed for you and wish you lots of luck 🍀
Hi Dreams12, I had a cancelled artificial FET in January and a natural FET last week.
For the artificial cycle I was on progynova (eostrogen) tablets to build up my lining, this meant I would have also needed artificial progesterone as my body wouldn't naturally produce it as my body wouldn't be ovulating.
For the natural cycle I didn't need to take any progesterone as I did ovulate and therefore my body created its own progesterone. After transfer, I was given progesterone pessaries because I requested them, but they were not a necessity.
Hope this helps, if you're worried, you're best asking your clinic, as different clinics can have different procedures and protocols.
I just had a call from them to say my progesterone is too low and have prescribed Cyclogest. Just waiting on the pharmacy to call so I can go and collect
Hi, did you do a natural FET I assume? On my medicated ones I had estrogen then progesterone. I was not prescibed any meds this time as I was doing a natural FET, however I had my progesterone checked the day before transfer and it came back low and I was told to take cyclogest and lubion but had no meds! Managed to find some leftover cyclogest for the evening and morning and then had to start lubion on the day of transfer. Just hope it was enough! If it helps, the clinic told me the progesterone levels should rise quite quickly on the meds
