Progesterone and Cramps

I started on progesterone on Sunday 1x400mg in the morning and 2x400mg at night. Is it usual to experience period like cramps?

My transfer is planned for Friday and I’m worried that I don’t want my period to come prior to it.

Seems sometimes when taking progesterone during IVF treatment it can cause some mild cramping - may also have some cramps after any kind of pelvic procedure

Yes, I had cramps strongly linked to progesterone. It worked 😊

I had increased cramps with progesterone each time. But it felt different than the period. My period alert comes with leg pain too, but with the progesterone I had increased back pain instead.

The progesterone gives me period-like cramps every time, don't worry! Completely normal. They go away as soon as you stop it. Very best of luck with your transfer!
