I am sorry to hear about the bleed. I had one at a similar time, which turned out to be a large subchorionic haematoma. Was told that this is quite common with IVF pregnancies, especially if you are taking baby aspirin too. My clinic told me to stop the baby aspirin immediately and to take it as easy as possible. It resolved by the 12 week scan. Very best of luck!
I will. So far they’ve said I need to continue it, given my age, 45. And I had a failed first round. And hope all is well with you, and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
I am on the same medications. How is your bleeding? Fresh red or pink brown discharge? When I had my first baby, I had small pink/brown discharges I didn’t stop the medications. I did went for the scan to make sure my baby was ok. At 14 weeks, I had fresh red bleeding for about one normal pad. My doc asked me to stop Aspirin 75 for 1-2 days and restart when the bleeding stops. I was already off from clexan injections. I continued with Aspirins till 32 weeks but there was no bleeding issues when I was totally off from ivf medications. I think it is these pills make hematoma to cause the bleeding.
I think you are right. My scan today showed things are alright with the baby which is a huge relief. The bleeding has happened while I was asleep and I discovered it when I went to pee in the middle of the night. But after that there is no additional bleeding, and it was red.
Doctor said it could have been that baby was moving further into the the uterus, and it could have just been implantation bleeding. He’s asked me to delay the clexane for just a day but continue all the other meds (including aspirin) as per usual. He’s also taken a blood test today to check on my overall progesterone levels to see if any additional supplementation is needed.
It’s a tough balancing act I guess, because they want us to have a safe pregnancy but also need to monitor the effect all the meds are having on our bodies.
Hey Samballover, hope you’re feeling ok in the midst of all this. I’m glad baby’s heartbeat is strong. Will be thinking of you over Xmas xxx take care
