Has anyone taken NORETHISTERONE prior to starting ivf? I took it on my first cycle for 7 days from day 19.I am wondering if I can start it on day 18 instead, that would mean my period would start before my clinic closes for a few days around the new year.
I have already missed 1 month due to Christmas cut off, I don't want to risk missing another month due to holiday closures.

I’d call and speak to your clinic as they may have specified that date for a reason. I had it with my first IVF cycle which was on the NHS and found out they do it so that your cycle dates fall within their time schedules, which is irritating cuz it’s like wasting a whole period and messing with my cycle just to do it on clinic times. Private since then and not had to do it
Thanks, I don't think the clinic have a planned date. I asked to go on it so I could plan the date as my last period (post 1st ivf cycle) was quite late. The clinic close again for 3 days over new year and I am worried I'll miss another cycle. So I want to try and time it before they close for the new year.

Hey, can I ask what the outcome of this was if you dont mind? I am in a similar situation with norethisterone. How many days after stopping taking did you bleed?
Of course. I ended up starting it on day 19 and taking it for a couple of extra days to start ivf on the 2nd January. My period started about 2 days after I stopped taking it (3 days for full flow).
