IsUnsuccessful Ovaleap treatment. Should I choose Ovapeal again on Menopur?

Hi all. I am 39 years old and started my ivf journey. At first I strted with Burseline for 2 weeks and then the highest dose of Ovaleap. I was very surprised as no folicles were grown. I am a healthy individual and need to do IVF because of my husband who has zoospermia. Before the treatment my cycle was normal and eggs did grow. I am devastetd as I don't lnow what was the reason behind it. IVF is a science and all hormones have to be carefully monitored. As this cycle is NHS funded I think the clinic I am with don't really care about me. They said I have one more attempt and that this time will start with Ovaleap straigth away. I asked if Menapur is not better option and they said that I need to decide! How can I decide when I don't know. Is there someone who was in a similar situation?

Hi All,

I have an update and I hope it can be helpful for someone. The long protocol didn't work for me but the short one worked for now- after a week 6 follicles were found, they are not very big but growing and in 3 days I am having my next scan to see that are the sizes. I used Overleap again and this time it worked. I was having distant reiki healing sessions, working with Grabovoi numbers and ate everything I want. I am having one strong coffee a day. I created a special fertility picture and if you message me I can share it with you. I am not sure what will happen next but I am trying to be positive. Good luck everyone x

I was going to suggest it might have been the down reg of the burselin that affected it and your ovaries didn’t ‘wake up’ (assume you were on long protocol) and maybe try the short one? You’ve said straight to stims this time I think? I changed stims last cycle and it didn’t really make any difference for me but if you’ve regular cycles and the reason for IVF doesn’t even lie with you I don’t see why you had down reg at all and should be straight to stims on day 2 or 3 of cycle? (Maybe ask your consultant why not menopur though but I’d say defo try not down reg) good luck xxx
