FET today

so today I’m going for my FET but just got a call from embryologist and she said the the first embryo they thawed survived but has not expanded fully and they asked my if I like to thaw the other embryo to see which one is better to transfer I agreed but now thinking what if the first one expand and I now wasted the other one, I’m so disheartened and upset I don’t think this cycle will work and now I lost the last embryo too

She is going to call me in an hour I’m going to ask for both to be transferred. I don’t know if the clinic will accept it. It’s NHS

I had double transfer on NHS due to my age so not sure what they will say. In any case try and stay positive. Whether it’s 1 or 2 this could be your time! Sending 👶🏼 ✨

My age isn't a factor, and my NHS clinic have said they would happily transfer two embryos on my next cycle so I don't see why they wouldn't transfer them both for you 😊

The other embryo the second one they thawed has expanded better, I asked for both of them to be transferred and she said u have to discuss it with the consultant when I get there, going to the clinic now.

I don’t think there is any point re freezing the first one.

I’m not sure, I had to make decision to thaw the other embryo as the first one only expanded 80% so they said probably best to thaw the second one and that one expanded fully and looked much better, I asked to have both transferred as felt so disappointed to just waist the other one but consultant said it increased the chances of effecting the good one, one transferred and no embryo left so if this one fails i have to start again.

To be honest I’m making myself ready for bad news as the start of it was so stressful, I’m greatful that I already had one to transfer but I have no hope sorry for long reply

Just to reassure it’s true, sometimes a less graded embryo can affect a better one, unlike if you put two of the same grade in or you put a lesser grade in on its own and it can survive. You wouldn’t want to risk this one so all the best of luck to you xxx
