Transfer number 5…. Adding HCG/double transfer

After 4th failed transfer with optimum lining and progesterone levels. The only thing different my clinic want to do is add HCG a couple of days before the next transfer. To mimic the signals your body would naturally send when an egg is released (using DE). Anyone heard of/experienced this?

They are also reluctant to try double transfer yet due to risk of multiple birth after previous case at the clinic where it ended in triplets. They are saying I can push for double transfer and sign a consent form. Any thoughts/advice? I know there are risks but I would be happy with twins as due to financial reasons I may not be able to afford another transfer once I have gotten a BFP, and would have liked 2 children.

Hi Doodlebug, well I’m sure you are sensible enough to understand the possible implications of a double transfer, so if you go for it, I wish you well for a safe pregnancy,

However many you are blessed with. Good luck. Diane

Hi Doodlebug, I’m also going DE. I took the HCG once I had a positive opk and then on the day of transfer. I did have a positve but ended in mmc. Hoping for a transfer in the next few weeks will be going the hcg this time xx

Can I ask what the procedure was please? My clinic said it’s something I will have to be there for x

My clinic made it sound like it was a procedure that had to be done in the clinic. I’ll ask my PA X

They may have been referring to a HCG wash x

They have said infusion which sounds like wash rather than injection, and I have read they have done studies on it at my clinic x

I really strangely feel better than I did after 3 BFNs in a row. Like I’m actually in this race. This is such a journey of highs and lows 😳 x

I’m not sure. The doctor mentioned it yesterday at my consultation. He said it needed to be done at the clinic which made me think it was a procedure rather than an injection. I’ve adore them to clarify x

Clinic confirmed HCG infusion, so wash I think. I’ve looked on their website and they have done studies on its efficacy. X

It may be worth asking about blood thinners? It was the only thing we changed for my successful transfer x

I started taking baby aspirin before my only one that stuck (ended in chemical). My clinic didn’t recommend but said I could take it if I wanted x

I did blood thinning injections which is assume are stronger up until I had my viability scan then moved to aspirin for the rest of the pregnancy x

My clinic haven’t recommended for me but someone told me can help make things sticky so I thought why not as clinic says it’s ok!
