Thank you for always being such a supportive community. I have been going through IVF because of unexplained fertility, mainly I just don’t get my period. I am an avid runner but not underweight. It seems my estrogen is always on the low side and I just don’t have cycles or ovulate. I would love to attempt to get my period back (I have had it in the past and only discovered this issue after going off birth control over 5 years ago) Anyone have any experience with this issue and recommendations?

Hi Melissa. Have you ever had a hysteroscopy to check your womb out ans biopsy your womb lining. Apologies if you have. Norethisterone is another medicine to try. Hope your specialist can come up with something. Good luck. Diane
I’ve suffered with irregular periods most of my life and was diagnosed with PCOS (dovey years on birth control too). I’d go months and have no period. Obviously before ttc I wasn’t that bothered. I used to run a lot too and was slim but not underweight. Anyway I stopped running (switched to weight lifting) increased my bmi a small amount (focused more on nutrition/ nourishment rather than just bring ‘healthy’) and now I have more regular periods…
Could be a case of trial and error for you too . I hope you get your periods back
Hi Melissa, I feel you as I am in a similar situation, although I recently got my period but it is now very irregular, only every few months. Same as you I didn't discover it before I stopped the pill. I was slightly underweight and overexercising, and what worked for me to get my period back was put on weight, completely stop exercise for a while, eat A LOT more and specifically eat first thing in the morning. In terms of weight, I am now normal weight (and bigger than I ever was) and still struggling, so unfortunately this is not the only parameter..I can point you to a few resources online if you want more info, please feel free to DM me.
