I have been taking noresterone for five days to try and trigger a period before having frozen embryo treatment.. has anyone been on this before ? If so how long did it take you to come on your period after stopping the medication ? Thanks in advance

It should take 2-3 days after you stop taking the tablets for your period to start. Unfortunately I stopped last Thursday and not had my period yet but I think I'm just unlucky! X
I've got till tomorrow and then i need to speak to them. Due to start stim injections on Thursday so can't if period doesn't start by tomorrow. I think it's just one of those things 😔 x
I was on it for my IVF cycle. The clinic told me it can take up to 7 days, and to contact them if it took longer than that, but usually it took 4 but could be sooner. Took me 4 days exactly.
Mine stopped for 11 months following a miscarriage. I took the norithisterone and it didn't start then so I had a lot of investigations. Just before these they started again on their own but they're very light nowadays. I was only out in it this time to delay my period in line with the clinic and timetable and it seems to have messed them up again. I know they are successful in triggering a period in a lot of women so try not to panic. I was very stressed and got told that didn't help matters x
Thankyou my periods stopped nearly two years ago and haven't returned so they started me on this to try and start kick one so I can start injections. When my periods stopped they investigated but nothing came up on any tests.. Have they spoke about what they will do next if it doesn't help?xxx
When they stopped last time they went in and had a look at everything. My womb is scarred from the ERPC when I miscarried so I guess that's why mine stopped. Like london7 I was having periods this time and only had the tablets to make sure my period came at the right time. Easier said than done as I'm up the wall but try and wait to see if the tablets work x
No, unfortunately they didn't - they just said to call. Mine were pretty regular beforehand, I was just taking it to make sure that mine arrived on time and didn't disrupt my cycle.
Just to let you know I've started spotting today which is six days after i stopped the tablets x
