FET collapsed embryo - Hi, feeling a little disheartened and just looking to see if anyone has any success stories with having an embryo transfer with a thawed Day 5 embryo that never re-expanded at all
I know we are extremely lucky to get this far but this is our very last embryo and it has failed to re-expand after thawing so was popped in still ‘collapsed’ and I’m just looking for some hope. Thanks and good luck to you all on this long journey!

Yes this is what the embryologist told me at my last FET and I thought at the time it didn't sound good and was worrying all the way home. But googling afterwards they have just as much chance as an expanded embryo. I am now 11 weeks with that FET with identical twins so at some point my little embryo split n two!
Hey, try not to worry. I was in your position last year on 26th October and today I currently have a 9 week old. She was the worse grading Embryo we had transferred over multiple different cycles and she was also collapsed when they put her back in. They said if she was going to re-expand then the best place for that was inside me so they went ahead and did it and she implanted :). Got everything crossed for you x
Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to let me know this 💕 I just didn’t know what to think as the dr who did the procedure seemed quite negative about the fact that it never re-expanded at all.
But you’ve definitely given me lots of hope by hearing that it can work so thank you so much 🩷xx
