Day 16 EWCM but negative ovulation test

Hello,I have taken letrozole to help with ovulation and i am on day 16. I've never tested for ovulation in the past until recently. I have ovulation pain and ewcm but no positive ovulation test. Ive tested twice a day to make sure i dont miss it but i just wondered if a positive test would usually come after the symptoms or should i be positive already? My cycle can be around 35 days give or take. I also wondered what day others have ovulated with a similar cycle length? Thanks in advance!

Usually the EWCM appears a couple of days before ovulation, at least for me. Also, the luteal phase usually lasts 14 days so it’s likely that you ovulate around day 18 or so. Obviously everyone is different and I’m not a medical professional, so just keep testing and fingers crossed you’ll get a positive soon!

Hi Yellowgorilla. If the medication is doing its job then you should have ovulated. If your tubes are fine and sperm ok and you have had regular sex, then your tubes will be primed waiting for your egg to appear. Good luck. Diane
