hi all,
I’m currently in the 2 week wait and feeling very confused.
i had my “day 21 progesterone “ yesterday which was day 30 of my 35-36 day cycle.
My last cycle was 37 days so I figured I would have the blood test 7 days before my period would be due based on last month. I’m currently 7 days post ovulation. I had my peak opk on cycle day 23
I’m in the UK , my progesterone has come back as 12.8nmol/l which would indicate that I didn’t ovulate as my fertility nurse said they like it to be over 30. But, she then said that she thinks I might of had the bloods done too late and the result may not be accurate and that had i ovulated on day 21/22 then the test wouldn’t pick it up correctly 🤷♀️
she asked about my symptoms at the time of ovulation which were lots of pinching and stabbing in the left ovary (I had a 15mm dominent follicle on my scan) the pain started about 5 days after that scan. I also had a blazing positive OPK also. So, she has now said according to my symptoms I ovulated, but the blood test says otherwise. She recommends I take a pregnancy test in a weeks time.
i know the level is low for sustaining a pregnancy, I have cyclogest at home for when I get a positive test. I’m just really confused why she thinks the test could of been done at the wrong time.
On the chart in the UK value of the hospital I had it done, anything over 10nmol can be in the 1st trimester so hoping if I am pregnant I can support the pregnancy.
I’m just really confused
