No heartbeat at 6 weeks

Hi

We just had our 6 weeks scan and sonographer couldnt find the heart. She said there is a possible 2mm fetal pool But its very small for 6 weeks. Has anyone experience something like that and had succesful pregnancy ?

Hi Lili84, i'm sorry that you're going through this, it is very stressful. Have they ask you to come for a second scan in a week or so? things are tiny at 6 weeks, so there's always a tiny bit of hope that the embryo is slightly behind and catches up. I have read from other ladies in here who have had positive experience, I'd just approach with caution.

I had a different experience, had some bleeding and early scan at 6 weeks, they did manage to find a heartbeat and a hematoma at that point but sadly at viability scan closer to week 8 there was no heart beat anymore.

I hope you're on the lucky % where things change for good, I know it's very tough, sending you a big hug!!

Hi! I'm so sorry to hear that, I had the same thing happen to me and I had a silent miscarriage 2 weeks later and needed a d&C, I hope it works out for you🤞

Scan bit early to pick up heart beat - normally 7 weeks Would imagine they have arranged an other scan in a couple of weeks time As the 1st post says still a little bit of hope Make sure you have people around you for support
