I had a 5 week scan which showed a gestational sac and then exactly a week later a 6 week scan which showed a larger gestational sac, a yolk sac and a fetal pole measuring 3.2mm. The doctor said everything looked okay but that he would have expected to have seen a heartbeat by now.
it is a naturally pregnancy so I know my days may be a little bit off. Can anyone give me some hope?
thanks

I know exactly what the going thru and how stressful this time waiting. I've just experience the same thing and it was not a good outcome sadly but I was further along than you so you still have hope that it's growing nicely and you here a heartbeat on the next scan.
Just for reference I had my scan at 7 weeks and was measuring 4.66mm at 5 weeks 6 days. Scan repeated a week later and everything was the same.
I put off my viability scan till 7 weeks as I’d been told that any earlier you aren’t guaranteed to see the heartbeat. Sounds positive as time had growth and progression. 🤞🏼 next time you’ll see that tiny little flutter of a heartbeat 💗
I had the same thing, sacs seen and but no heartbeat and a worrying comment of 'no embryo visible'. That was at around 6+3 but a natural pregnancy so wasn't sure. I had had an earlier successful IVF pregnancy where we saw a heartbeat at 5+3 so I was very worried but on that second one we went back at just over 8 weeks and it was all fine - the result of that is now 2 months old So I think every pregnancy can be different and especially with natural pregnancies it's probably beat to wait until 7 or ideally 8 weeks. The other thing you could do is get repeat HCGs done, that will give you some additional info on how it's progressing - those kept me sane between scans x
Thank you. That’s so reassuring. I was also v worried as with our daughter who was born via IvF we saw a heartbeat at 5 weeks 6. Thank you for taking the time to respond. They did the HcG and it continues to increase thankfully! X
