I had one ovary removed due to an ectopic pregnancy and also an ovarian cyst. Does my very low AMH mean that my chances of conceiving are very low? AMH 0.47, Im 33 years old.

lower AMH level
HelloIt depends what the unit of measurement is for the AMH as the US for example use a different measurement to the UK.
If it is a UK measurement I'm afraid it is on the low side in terms of AMH. I'm sure you are aware AMH is one marker of ovarian reserve. However have you had a full fertility assessment. It would include an ultrasound to look at your follicles as well as the AMH. The follicles are a further indicator as to fertility potential.
One thing to say is that AMH does not always reflect quality of eggs. For example you can have low AMH and the quality of eggs, especially if young, can be less affected but it may take longer to find that golden egg.
I hope that helps xx
Hi freaking. I would think that if you have IVF then you would be in with a reasonable chance of success. You probably wouldn’t produce many eggs, but hopefully those collected would be good enough to try with. Good luck. Diane
