Egg retrieval timing

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone doing well.I am currently doing a cycle and I had my trigger shot and clinic gave me appointment for the egg collection after 37h.But I had my procedure after 36 h in my previous ivf cycles.I am a bit worried .Is it common to do egg retrieval after 37h.Please reply

I have had mine done at 36 hours and then 38 hours in subsequent retrievals and it wasn't a problem. The reason they did it in my case was to try and improve the maturity of the eggs. If you are unsure and want a more detailed explanation I would ask your clinic their reasons, they should be able to explain to you and put your mind at rest x

Hi Sheila. 36-37 hours after trigger shot - hCG. I wouldn’t want to go over 38 as timing is important. Good luck. Diane

Thank you so much .I called the hospital again and confirmed that the egg retrieval is after 36 hours.
