Post egg retrieval discomfort

Has anyone had discomfort post egg retrieval? I’m day 3 post and only my right side feels quite sore. A bit muscular dull type pain. When I was asleep last night I rolled onto my side and it was very uncomfortable! I don’t have any symptoms of OHSS I’m just wondering if pain and discomfort is to be expected still after a few days?

Yes! I was super uncomfortable on one side too for at least 4 days. I think it's to be expected because of all the poking about that's happened in there 🥴

Thank you for the reassurance! I’ve been resting in bed today to try and not over do it. I’m having my transfer on Monday and I’m worried it will impact that if it’s still tender x

I rested a lot too, and it definitely helped. I also used a hot water bottle. I wasn't having a transfer, so I guess I wasn't thinking about that part. If you're at all worried it will impact your transfer success, do mention it to your clinic. I imagine they'll just say it's fine though! Best of luck for Monday 🧡

Thank you! I think I’ll just have to take it super easy until Monday and then I’ll mention it to them when I go there then anyway. I felt a lot better yesterday and think I got confident and over did it, so now have set myself back recovery wise x

So easy to overdo it when you feel a bit better, isn't it? Have a nice rest and fingers crossed you feel stronger Monday.
