Hi All,

I had my 7 week scan yesterday and everything is well and measuring how it should, all healthy etc except I have a small Subchorionic hematoma. They have told me to take it easy, rest up, no heavy exercising, no long walks, no heavy lifting etc

anybody else had this?

Thanks,

hello! Yes I had a small one at my 7 week scan also - and by my 13 week scan it had healed itself ☺️

thank you for your message. That’s great news. Guess just need to take it easy for now. They’re re-scanning on Wednesday to make sure it’s shrinking 🤞🏼

Hi lovely,

Yes I had one at 17 weeks - it was huge and took 3 weeks to dissipate - but it did and all was fine :)

Try not to worry xx

hello, I had a small one too. It just came out on its own/disappeared. I am due tomorrow and it hasn’t caused any problems. Good luck xxx

if hematoma is small ,it may never cause any problem and even heal on its own as your pregnancy grows

hi there. I had one, I bled at 6weeks and 8.5 weeks and obviously thought the worst! They saw the haematoma and said it can be common in ivf. I wasn’t told to take it easy mind you…they honestly didn’t seem to concerned and said the body usually absorbs it. It wasn’t pleasant getting the bleeding but I have to say the extra scans were reassuring.

I had my 12w scan last week and no sign of it 🙌.

Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy xxx

Hi I am currently 5+6 weeks pregnant after my 5th transfer and woke up yesterday with the heaviest bleed all over the bed (TMI) I was hysterical and obviously assumed the worst. I took myslef to a&e they scanned me at the BEP clinic and I was in shock the pregnancy was still viable. I have a subchorionic Hematoma too which caused the bleed. I have been given a 4 week sick note and they was adamant on rest, no lifting ect. I’m shocked how common this is with ivf patients. Very scary but listen to dr and take it easy 🥰❤️

it really does seem so common, I did t realise how common! Well I haven’t actually had any bleeding yet and the dr did ask if I had before she explained what it was etc but she did say if I do bleed, don’t panic as it’s usually just the hematoma passing through! She did say some people also don’t bleed and it self absorbs itself. Rest up and take it easy also!!
