I had this in week 8 and then it disappeared. I am now in my third trimester. Wishing you the very best X

I took time off work around week 8 to completely rest and take it easy and that helped me a lot but resumed work weeks later x

How much did you rest? What was the max you were doing? So pleased you made it through. How big was your haemotoma? Were you taking blood thinners? Sooooo many questions xxxx

I don’t want to invade recidwen post 😂 but I am going to reply you, hope it will not upset anyone ❤️

Haven’t sorted yet to be honest 🤯 but “no risk it, no biscuit”😆

My husband still can’t smell everything which sometimes I find very funny (he can go to the public toilets without complaining of the bad smell 🤭😂😂).

The smell takes quite sometime to come back unfortunately but good that's the only residual thing. I'm sure recidwen wont mind....we're a big family here!🤗 Good luck with the sick note & ERA.xxx

Oh ERA another pain 🥴 I been yesterday for an ultrasound scan to check my lining and is still too thin 5.9 when should have been min 7 😤, also my progesterone is less than 1 (this I don’t know if it is good or bad, waiting for my clinic to reply to my email). Anyway my doctor increased progynova dose to 8mg/day 🤨 What a paradise!! ❤️🤗

Hi lovely, I had a pretty big one! It bled from weeks 5-10 of pregnancy and then stopped. I had regular scans at the EPU to keep an eye on baby but didn't take time off work or rest. I hope yours resolves itself ASAP, it's very scary x

Weeks 5 - 10! Looooordddd help us. Hahah. Did you have any discomfort? Little bit personal, but how was your BMs?? I have retroverted uterus and feeling a bit tender, plus constipated. I am hot mess over here. I have my second scan at epu next Thursday. Prayiinnnnnggg the little one can be seen this time. Were you on blood thinners? Xxxx

Bless you, it's certainly stressful and really worrying. I didn't have any pain. Or issues with BM, apart from normal progesterone constipation - is yours an IVF pregnancy? Are you on any progesterone, that can make you blocked up! I wasn't on blood thinners. I really hope you can see baby on your scan, we managed to see heartbeat at 5w 6days xx

Of course everyone's experience is different and I wouldnt recommend reading my journey with SCH, however mine was a second trimester extremely large haematoma. I did a lot of research while I had mine and it appeared that when they appeared in early pregnancy they were a lot lower risk and didn't impact on the pregnancy like later presenting haematomas do. Alpha lipoic acid and progesterone is meant to be beneficial for subchorionic haematomas, definitely rest as much as you possibly can - although there is no evidence to say that rest helps it certainly won't hurt. Hopefully it resolves for you soon x

I am so sorry you had to go through that. I can only imagine the pain of it all. Interested about the alpha lipoeic. What is that about? I am on progesterone. Via us it looked to the sonographer like it may be resolving. I am only bleeding brown now too. Gahhhh! First pregnancy after five attempts. Bag of nerves. Cxxxxx

Hi, I had this at week 6 with quite a big bleed and cramping. I had a scan and it showed i was pregnant with twins! I continued with brown spotting then had another big bleed and clot i think around week 7/8. Brown spotting continued until week 10 then it stopped. I was on blood thinners as they thought I may be at increased risk of clotting due to family history - they stopped them straight away. I had complete rest for 2 weeks then worked from home for another couple of weeks until things settled down, by week 10 it had pretty much resolved itself and I successfully gave birth to twins at 32 weeks - they are now 6 months old. There are some posts on my page that might help as there were lots of ladies who had been through similar experiences and shared their stories with me. Take it easy and rest as much as you can so it has a chance to reabsorb. Wishing you all the best x

Thanks for sharing your story Poppy. I am off the blood thinners now after the big bleed but I wish they told me to come off then straight away when I was spotting. Anyway, what do you mean by complete rest? What were you getting up for? Interstingly, I had two transferred and they were pretty sure both took because my hcg was really high by they could only see one and the haemotoma at my 5w5 scan. Just praying this all goes away! Xxx

Try not to worry about the blood thinners, you are off them now so that's the main thing. I didnt stay in bed at all but for the first 2 weeks I lay on the sofa most of the day apart from toilet trips and a quick shower and my family ran around after me! Even having a shower wasnt great for me as when I stood too long I got a bit of cramping. My clinic were doing weekly scans so that was the only time I went out. As things started to improve I worked from home but still had minimal movement around the flat (and still had family support for making meals, cleaning etc). I hope and pray that your haematoma resolves quickly and your pregnancy continues safely x

I'm 10 weeks today and had two HUGE bleeding episodes at 6w4d & 7w1d. Like GUSHES of bright red blood. I didn't think there was any chance in the world I could still be pregnant after this...

I was on both, baby-aspirin and Clexan, but stopped the Aspirin after the second episode. Not a drop of blood since, but there still is a quite substantial hematoma in the uterus, which seems to slowly absorb...

Good luck to you - it is very scary!🍀

Thank you Kate. So glad things are going well for you. It is ridiculously scary. Not at all how I imagined being finally pregnant would feel. I am off the heparin now, which makes me nervous but I guess I have to deal with the real threat rather than theory that I have clotting issues. Xxx
