Cycle day of baseline scan

I was just wondering what cycle day a baseline scan is typically done for IVF. I was told by my clinic that I should have it on cycle day 18-25, but everything I've read about IVF says it's normally done between days 2-5 of the cycle so I'm really confused. Has anyone had a baseline scan on cycle day 18-25?Thanks

Hi, I recently moved clinic to start IVF (did IUI before at a diff clinic and they did scans day between day 2-5) and my scan was done around day 21, it was when they had availability, I did ask if it needed to be a certain time of the cycle and they said no as it was an internal scan, I was glad of this as it's one less cycle to have to wait. They were really happy with everything they saw, regarding follicles, eggs, seeing that I had ovulated that cycle already. The images were really clear and the person explained it all so that gave me reassurance.

Maybe it to check the lining of your womb - speak to your clinic and explain your concerns re the timings of scan for your peace of mind Remember if every unsure of what is happening or next step just ask

Most clinics do a baseline scan on day 1-3 but some do it towards the end. Interpretation is just different. They will all want bloods on day 1-3 though, hence why most do scans on one of these days.
