Update Baseline Scan

So just returned from our scan to check baseline again, thankfully it's now at 3ml so we've been advised to start injections tonight. Exciting but scary. Sure it will be ok though.

It'll be fine. Ice the skin for a few mins first and hot water bottle after! Good luck x

Thank you. We did our first one yesterday. We thought we followed the instructions, however by the time we mix the solution with the 5 powders, there's was hardly anything left on the seringe, but we did it anyway.

We're going to see the nurse again this morning just to make sure how technique us right and also to see wether it's worth having one done this morning as we felt yesterday's one had hardly anything in it.

Better to ask than not too I guess

I don't use any ice as I honestly think this would make the area more sensitive. I started them Wednesday and it's really not as bad as I expected at all. It stings but it's not unbearable. Worst part for me is the stinging afterwards xx

You need to be really careful to make sure you suck it all back up into the syringe, it's quite difficult but if your partner holds it at an angle and you pull the syringe it's easier! Xx

Hi BabyD

Me and the wife visited our clinic this morning just to show us again how to do the injections, all went well

And I guess as it was our first time, we panicked abit but I'm pretty confident on how it's done now, so here's hoping tonight will go well.

Another step closer x

Hi sanj76. That's a relief to hear. Good luck with the injections, I'm sure you will be fine. If they get sore, try melting an ice cube on the spot before injecting - helps to numb the area. Diane

I'll be sure to help the wife tonight and pass on the advise. She did use a hot water bottle to numb the area afterwards and throughout the night. Thanks again
