Baseline scan required with a FET cycle

Hi ladies i am hoping to resume an FET cycle next month after a long break of 18 months since having my son. They haven't offered a baseline scan. Would you request one / is it needed? I did have a MOT scan middle of October last year where everything was ok. thanks

My clinic always did one with one me just to ensure there weren’t any cysts or polyps present. Good luck with the FET!

I'm starting my FET (I'm on day 4). I could choose if I wanted baseline scan on day 2 or not but I opted out because I don't want to make unnecessary trips out with Covid around. Apparently it's not important. My first scan will be day 12/13 but I ovulate later usually so that's why it's then. Best of luck

Yes you should have a baseline scan - my example last week of a cyst showing up! If I'd not had that scan we would have carried on with all the meds then have to cancel 2 weeks later at my lining scan.. x

Yes you definitely need a baseline scan to check all ok with uterus and ovaries and to check for cysts etc. Too much of a risk otherwise if you find out something isn’t quite right later down the line and you have to cancel a cycle. X

I used to have a baseline scan but eventually stopped as it was time, hassle and money on top of the cost of transfer.xx
