1st FET at 41

hi guys,

I’m about to have a FET on the 30th May and we need to decide whether to have 1 or 2 embryos transferred?

I’ve had a successful IVF round with my daughter (now nearly 6yrs), but I’m now 41.

I have 5 good quality eggs frozen from our IVF Round in Jan this year (that round was a BFN).

I really don’t know what to do - 1 or 2 embryos?

Hi.

I would say to only transfer two if you are happy to have multiples. I don’t think transferring two particularly increases the odds of a single live birth but I was advised and happy to transfer two at just turned 40 - and ended up with twins! They are fantastic but obviously lots of implications of having twins.
