My 1st round FET before Xmas was unsuccessful :(

I was so nervous to test on my OTD which was yesterday that I only built up the courage to test today and ended up in a BFN this was because I tested early at 6dpt that gave me an insight that it was negative. My only embryo that we got this round was unsuccessful. My tears haven’t started yet as I feel slightly numb and in my mind I’m just thinking when are we to start another round? and the thought of going again through injections and egg collection is giving me anxiety as I had OHSS last time. I know I’ll have to pluck up the courage to go again but i really thought maybe this was my time, maybe i could start 2024 with a little person growing in me and have something to look forward to. I had to avoid social media during Christmas as 2 friends announced their 2nd pregnancy. A 2nd during a time me and my fiancé have still been struggling with infertility to conceive one. Of course I’m happy for them but it’s really really hard 😔 and I have to protect myself and will probably stay off social media as we approach NYE. I really appreciate this forum and for me to just pour my feelings in a post. I hope whatever you’re going through God gives you the strength to keep persevering and keep the faith I know I’ll need to xx

I'm sorry your transfer wasn't successful, particularly at this time when we all find things a bit more challenging. And whether we realise it or not, we all hope for a little Christmas miracle at this time of the year too - I completely understand how heartbreaking it is when you put your faith into it and get nothing in return.

We all react differently to our bumps on the road, so let yourself grief for as long as you need so you can start your next cycle with renewed energy.

In a way I am glad that I know the end result as we end 2023 as it means I can go in to 2024 with energy, hope and determination for a successful outcome next time, God willing. Sorry to hear this. I was really rooting for you. It’s difficult to accept news like this when you have literally poured blood sweat and tears into the whole process. I know exactly how you feel and the thought of another cycle makes you feel dread… totally get that.

It’s ok to avoid social media and friends that have happy announcements, that doesn’t mean you’re not happy for them, you just wish that you were also sharing good news.

Take some time out for you, regroup, be kind to yourself and then maybe think about your next steps.

Aww thank you for your support lovely. It just wasn’t meant to be and wasn’t my time. I’ll be kind to myself with a drink of bubbly for New Years 🤭 as I have been on a strict ban of beverages during this time so I think I deserve a glass or 2. I’m also in 2ww but I have a feeling it hasn’t worked again so trying to make myself ready emotionally, also had 2 friends who announced pregnancy I can’t not bring myself to socialise and it’s so hard just wanted to send you lots of love and hug and luck for next year with this journey.

Extremely sorry your are goingg ga through this. I was same as well when my first cycle failed and stil got no energy for second one. But you can change your lifestyle to get better result for second one. Add some multivitamins and yes give your body enough to time to get energy and start second one. Always hope for best! Happy new year

Thank you for your kind message. I already feel in myself that I will be better prepared for the next one 💕 ive changed my lifestyle regarding my health this past year losing 1 stone and feel so much stronger. Im doing my research and reading how I can improve my chances as I was very shocked at the time of egg collection last year to have only had 1 embryo to reach a day 5 blastocyst out of 15 collected. I will come back better and stronger. May I ask if you did anything different 2nd time round and what other vitamins apart from vitamin D and folic acid did you take? X

Hi I had first cycle failed in august and I am going to start second soon. Just not getting enough energy yet. I had 17 egg 10 fertilised but got only one embryo which didn’t implant. So now I have changed my life style before second one to start. But first cycle is at eating any multivitamin or any such things neither my husband. But now we both are having multivitamins patental. I have also start reading a book called

It’s start with egg by rebbica fett 3rd edition. It’s amazing. You can order from Amazon. I would recommend you read that and follow it accordingly. It’s helps me a lot. Clear my lots of questions which I had from my first cycle which totally failed. There is also multivitamin recommendations as well

Yes snap!! That’s what I’ve been reading also by Rebecca Fett 💕it’s so informative and really opens up your eyes in what you can do to improve your chances.
