I had severe endometriosis and I started the process to be cure 1 year ago. So far I have been able to feel myself again ! It was a very tough year but I met a fantastic surgeon and gynaecologist and manage in a very efficient way my difficult case his name is Mr Barnick (London, great portland and St John’s and Elizabeth hospital). At the beginning since I am an embryologist I had decided immediately to freeze my eggs, it was a sensible decision since I was 35 years old and single lady undergoing a surgery for endometriosis . I did not want to take any risk before to know that I had some eggs in storage.

I was soffer from endo for many years and I had reached the point to have a very tough period very heavy and also difficult time also when I did not have a period. I used to feel very drained in termed of energy and also I started to have a pain during intercorse. I was very worry I had a fertility MOT because I wanted the egg freezing done and there they discover presence of 3 fibroids and they suspect endometriosis. I was desperate and in pain so my colleague suggest Mr Barnick . I had Bupa health care and I was anyway trying by nhs to have an appointment soon but NHS was incredible slow and inefficient on this case. I met Mr Barnick in March 2022 and in April 2022 I had frozen immediately my eggs and I started immediately after my treatment of 6 months of decapeptil. When I met Mr Barnick in the first place he suggested me to have a proper scan with Dr Naftalin . This Dr was amazing I had 1 h scan and he could spot 5 fibroids and a very deep and sever endometriosis, I had different scan in my life but he was the first that scan also my kidney likely I did not have endo inside my organs, but my bowel was stuck together with my uterus and my ovaries and tubes were frozen too. I had very much discomfort also during the scan although he was fantastic dr but endo is very much painful at certain level. Mr Barnick told me that it was safer to reduce and shrink everything be put in chemical menopause for 6 moths and then have another scan and undergo surgery by laparoscopic and insert also mirena. Well my first 3 months of decapeptil were horrible very moody very painful also because I was very much inflamed but after 3 months the other 3 month I was in paradise in all these 6 months anyways I did not have period so I had a lot of energy. Incredible amount of energy I got also promoted at work I was feeling very good ! Then I had my surgery it last 6 h and I had in St John’s Elizabeth hospital my experience with Mr Barnick and the hospital and member of staff is outstanding. I did not have any complication of course I was off from work for 1 months and I look after myself and I had my mum taking care of me. After 1 month of resting and walking and having a good recovery . I started a pelvic physiotherapy I had a possibility to meet this fantastic physiotherapist in St John & Elizabeth hospital her name is Tricia. She was amazing she teach me how to control again all my organs and also trained me in terms of empty bowel and bladder. I strongly believe every woman should have the proper introduction to pelvic floor exercise it will last all the life and is very useful. After all recovery I had met a lovely guy and I still dating him since 2 months sex is with zero pain and mirena is doing a fantastic job in terms of reducing period and I do not have much pain. Finally my movement of the bowel are regular and I do not have anymore the endo belly but I am working on it with barrecore and exercise because the body was bombarded with hormones and also my belly was always tense and bloated so lost a bit of fit shape. However after this year I can tell you was very hard and I had also needles fobia and I went true hell because I was very scare of a surgery, probably if I did not have the right surgeon my quality of life could be also worst because he is and he was very conscious is important to meet the e right surgeon many woman get ruined from wrong choices took from surgeon. I biglietti recommend Mr Barnick and I wished all the woman can meet him he helped also many of my friends I cannot stop to spread the voice since he was my Angel.

every single woman suffering from endo do not give up but be mindful who you choose to take care of your body I know that can be very expensive but there are different way to reach a good surgeon and professional people.
