so I had my egg extraction yesterday they retrieved 12 eggs of which 6 were mature and 4 have fertilised at day 1. This is my first cycle of ivf and feeling nervous that 4 fertilised eggs is not good. Guess I’m just looking for some reassurance or guidance from those that have been through the process.
Thank you 💕

Afternoon. I had 13 retrieved 7 fertilised. 3 blastyst I am not an expert by any means. So hopefully your little 4 will mature well. Hoping it all goes well sharing the baby dust. Xx
Look at my post from a few days ago. A lot of people in the same boat have gone onto make good blastocyst. I know its difficult but try not to get too caught up in the numbers. I only had 2 out of 9 fertilise but both made it to day 5.
thank you I will definately check out your last post and you’re definately right not to get caught up in the numbers. Thank you once again in helping me keep a positive mindset 💕
With my latest donor round we got 6 eggs, 4 fertilised and 3 made good quality blasts so it can happen! Good luck!! x
On my first round I had 7 egg’s retrieved, 4 were mature, 3 fertilised but only had 1 good enough at day 3 so I had that transferred on day 3 and he’s a happy and healthy three year old now.
It’s difficult not to think of the numbers but you just need one to stick!
thank you for sharing. Definately given me hope xx
Hi there
My second IVF I got 6 eggs. 4 fertilised and 3 made it to day 5. One wasn’t good enough to transfer or freeze but the other 2 were brilliant and I did a double transfer. It failed but they think due to a fibroid. 6 is a good number I had ivf at the same time as a friend and she had 16 eggs with 13 fertilised but none made it to day 5, it’s all about quality. This wait period is the worst I know but I think you’ll get a good embie xx
oh I just read the post wrong I thought it said 18 hours ago not 18 days ! That is fantastic news !
I have tried again since then with donor eggs that was my last round with my own eggs I was talking about and a few years ago now. My first round with DE failed in October this year but I have 2 frozen so I’m still optimistic.
